I got to know Sabrina Walch when I occasionally loaned her my contrabassoon. Loaning out a contrabassoon can be a risky business, as no matter how careful a player is, they go out of adjustment quite easily. But when I'd loan it to Sabrina I always knew it would be returned in much better condition than when she took it. It was like getting free contrabsssoon maintenance and repair!
